This is typical the of the coast around Skye and was taken near Portree.
I done a lot of boat photos, so there should be at least one sea gull photo to go with them.
This is the sun trying to break through this morning over the harbor in Portree, Isle of Skye, Scotland.
The vistas on the Isle of Skye are spectacular and I have taken a couple of series that I want to develop into panoramas, but until then am posting this photo from today.
View overlooking the Portree Harbor.
I photographed a number gargoyles at St. Benedict’s Abbey in Fort Augustus, Scotland.
This beautiful Abbey, situated at the end of Loch Ness with the Caledonian Canal on one side and the River Tarff on the other is being preserved through a very creative repurposing into second homes and holiday properties.
Took a lovely walk through the countryside yesterday outside of Fort Augustus. Took a photograph looking down from both sides of a bridge over the River Tarff that flows into Loch Ness.
It was a wonderfully foggy morning on Lock Ness! I took a series of photos and will probably post more later. I posted this and two additional images from this foggy morning on Black And White Photo Images: http://blackandwhitephotoimages.com/?p=173
Castle ruins are great fun. Urquhart Castle was originally constructed around 1220, nearly 300 years before Columbus sailed to America.
