I have been working with old box cameras, black and white film and double/multiple exposures. I have posted several on my different sites and blogs. Below is an example and another can be found at: Bethlehem Double Exposure With Box Camera – Variations.
Feed Mill Photographs 2012
Feed mills have unique features and configurations and are fun to photograph. Below is a series I took last year in the area north of Hagerstown, Maryland. Four of the mills were old and no longer in use, but shared the same configuration. To show the evolution of design, I also took a series of a modern mill.
Skull Lane
Skull Lane got its name from several animal skulls that were found and hung up on a tree at the entrance of the lane. I took this photograph with a view camera and roll film back.
Wayne County Historical Society Canal House
This house is located at Lock 31, outside of Hawley, PA on Route 6 and is part of the Tow Path to Trails Project. Presently the house is being stabilized and renovated.
Huber Breaker
The Huber Breaker is one of the last coal breakers in PA (I am aware of only one more in the state.). A coal break is where coal was broken down, waste rock removed and the coal graded into different sizes. It has been abandoned for a number of years and makes for a very interesting photographic subject. There are efforts being made to preserve this site.
Horse Drawn Hearse
Horse Drawn Hearse photographed in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia in 1970.
Psychiatric Hospital
I took a series of photos of this deserted wing of a psychiatric hospital. To see more of this series, please go to Black and White Photo Images.
Edinburgh Castle, Edinburgh, Scotland
I took a large series of infrared photos in Edinburgh, Scotland. This is just one example.
